Women of Troy

The Music in this album was written for a Production of the Don Taylor's Translation of the play 'The Women of Troy' a Greek tragedy by Euripides. The play was performed by a cast from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Acting School.

The setting for this production was a Hotel in Nevada in 1998. Director Niall Phillips skilfully sets up a modern placement for the world of brutality and suffering unfolding within the text. 90's HipHop specifically the '98 Ice Cube "War and Peace" album is an inspiration for the music.

This production used a large amount of underscoring creating a tension against which the actors deliver some extremely powerful and gut wrenching monologues.

KILLING EVE

An example of three cues written for the show Killing Eve. These were submitted for the successful completion of a Masters in Music for the module Writing Music for Media supervised by Neil Stemp and Oli Clark both industry professionals.

Initially I responded to the brief by identifying some key factors including the youthful energy, quirkiness and sense of hyper-realism within cues.
